Job Description:

The Desktop Support Administrator is responsible for front-line user-based support for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Product Line (PL) Infrastructure (INF) Systems Line Team. Duties of the Desktop Support Administrator include:

Serving as the tier-one support for all INF support tickets
Supporting, maintaining, and documenting program software applications
Supporting the onboarding of equipment into tracking and monitoring tools
Tier-one administration of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Ushering the account management process
Assisting in testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact
Supporting multiple information systems and ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed under supervision as required
Assisting in the maintenance of security audits and logging information on all information systems
Additional assigned duties by the Desktop Support Team Lead or other superiors
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2:

BS with 2 years of experience; MS with 0 years of experience; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
U.S. citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)
Current or ability to obtain an Operating Systems Environment Certification within 90 days (i.e., Linux+, etc.)
Previous experience providing desktop support to include: Account Maintenance, Systems Administration for Linux, Windows, Network, and/or VMware
Level 3:

BS with 5 years of experience; MS with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 year of experience; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
U.S. citizenship and active Secret Security Clearance
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)
Current or ability to obtain an Operating Systems Environment Certification within 90 days (i.e., Linux+, etc.)
Previous experience providing desktop support to include: Account Maintenance, Systems Administration for Linux, Windows, Network, and/or VMware
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a medium to large scale information technology environment
Use of Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence
Experience working in a DCSA Accredited environment
Additional certifications (i.e., RHCSA, etc.)

Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Salary Range 2: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
