You will become part of Northrop Grumman's Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-1 and B-2 Bombers, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms.
As a member of the B-2 team at Whiteman AFB, you will work with highly experienced teammates to develop an unparalleled understanding of B-2 aircraft systems, subsystems, integration, and future capability development. You will support aircraft upgrades, research and resolve technical issues, and assist with determining test procedures to verify system operation. Additionally, you will utilize gained B-2 expertise to provide technical support to B-2 maintainers and pilots.
This position may require occasional shift work and extended work hours to meet aircraft delivery timelines. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high quality expectations, diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities:
Analyze complex circuitry to ensure product performance, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend re-design solutions to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, system safety, and performance specifications.
* Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings
* Assist with establishing milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
* Work with technicians, engineers and other team members to execute aircraft modifications, identify problems and assist in developing solutions, including engineering design changes, improved processes, and supply chain solutions
* Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of programs
* Generate reports and present solutions to internal organizations, Government counterparts, and other cross-functional organizations
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 0-2 years of relative experience
* Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware components
* Experience with computer aided design and modeling tools
* Experience working with engineers and technicians to achieve common goals
* Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 communication protocol and standards
* Experience running test equipment, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
* Knowledge of military HF/UHF/VHF Communications
* Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry and military standards
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret security clearance
* Must be able obtain/maintain additional program accesses within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with test planning and execution at the component, equipment, or system level
* Experience with software defined radios, information security, COMSEC
* Experience conducting analysis of electrical and electronic systems
* Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware components
