The MSC team plays a key role in supporting the Converse growth and delivering premium consumer experiences. Amongst other activities, we are responsible to maximize in-season service, revenue and margin while keeping the marketplace healthy. We do so in close partnerships with with commercial, planning, logistics and consumer finance teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The seasonal execution team operates as a shared service center, and executes a set of centrally led pre-, in- and post-season management activities across the integrated marketplace, in support sustainable and profitable growth for Converse.
As a Supply Chain Specialist II Seasonal Execution, you will work in a highly cross functional and dynamic environment, driving one or more key areas of play, while having the opportunity expand your reach / evolve across the different activity areas in the team over time.
In this role you will develop a strong understanding of the integrated marketplace and supply chain operations processes. You'll need to bring a strong retail and supply chain operations background, process improvement mindset and a natural curiosity to explore and solve problems.
To be effective, you'll possess a passion for data and analytics, a high degree of comfort with ambiguity, an ability to simplify the complex and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Your ability to set a direction and to prioritize will be important. Last but not least, you are a team player who positions winning as a team above individual results.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be leading and/or supporting one or more of the following activities:
- Goalsetting & shipping tracking: coordinate the monthly submission of shipment goals, which serves as input to financial forecasts and logistics planning, and track shipping progress on a weekly basis
- Manage Launch: coordinate the in-market execution of launch initiatives to ensure Launches are executed on-time and in-full
- Demand/Supply balance: optimize in-season demand supply match and balance capacity and revenue signals, aiming at maximizing full price revenue and inventory efficiency, whilst keeping marketplace healthy
- Centralized pre-, -in and post-season orderbook management:
- Drive a commercial, yet policy led orderbook management against clearly defined KPIs (quality, efficiency)
- Execute orderbook management activities for direct (digital and stores) and/or operate as the centralized service center for foundational accounts
- Drive the execution of efficient returns processes and maintain returns playbook/ policy
- Drive customer data management in line with the service model framework.
- Management / ad hoc reporting: execute periodic reporting to create pro-active business insights, and develop new reporting in line with business decision needs. Help shape future oriented data and analytics platforms.
Where relevant, you will leverage your insights and best practices to continuously improve how we operate and service, by experimenting, developing and implementing standardized process improvements, business analytics and automation at the speed of the business.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role you will report to Manager Supply Chain, Seasonal Execution. You will work closely with commercial - and operations teams, marketplace planning, merchandising and consumer finance.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketplace or supply chain operations roles, translating into a good understanding of supply chain processes
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a multinational consumer products environment, and a good understanding of consumer, retail and supplier/customer relationships
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence various levels within a matrix structure
- Strong excel skillset, and affinity with systems and technology like SAP, tableau/Cognos BI and/or automation
- Self-starter who can manage working through ambiguity, with a hands-on mentality combining speed and detail with quality in ways of working
- Team player with ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships
