We're looking for a Product Data Governance Senior Manager in Global Data Operations who is highly motivated, possesses a strong business focused approach to work, and leads & drives through ambiguity. You will use your knowledge and experience to lead a team through the development and maintenance of effective product data governance policies and processes for NIKE's entire product data and system landscape and will have an opportunity to partner with associates across the organization.

This role establishes & drives product data governance in the Merchandising and Product functions through routine engagement & influence. Aligning the business' needs for information with existing data and defines & activates new data needs.

The candidate needs to have knowledge of Data Governance disciplines - Principles, standards, business processes and data integrity. Must have familiarity of Nike product, processes and product functions. Skills include:

  • Being a problem solver; identifying problems, analyzing, resolving and understanding impacts
  • Confidence in approaching and influencing business partners
  • Operating with minimal guidance, leading change and decisions within guidelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, making complex scenarios simple

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will report directly to the Global Product Data Governance Director. You'll be working with multiple cross-functional business and technical partners to align business needs, document & maintain data policies, product data management processes, data collateral and data best practices within each function. You will establish & drive governance in functions through routine engagement & influence. Lead term alignment and product data Intake vetting activities. Lead change management processes for product data. Lead data policy & process training.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will work closely with Product Data Governance Managers and data Stewards cross-functionally, Global and Geo. In addition, you will engage and partner with multiple cross-functional business partners in Product Merchandising, Product Development, Consumer Planning, and Finance. As well as Technical partners across multiple capabilities and tools.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in Finance, Data Governance, Information Management or a related function
  • Strong Manager accountabilities and best practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks, and recommendations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, partners, cross functional business leaders, and peers
  • Excellent project management skills and experience leading mid-large cross-functional projects
  • Strong appreciation for working with data, quality, compliance and controls
  • High standards for attention to detail and process orientation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite
