WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Global Store Development Team, you will be working directly with internal construction professionals, designers, and facilities teams. Outside of our direct partners, cross functional partners range from Real Estate and Geography Store Construction, Facilities, Retail Design, Consumer & Concepts, Loss Prevention, IT/tech and Store Operations teams.
You will also work closely with architects, general contractors, and external consultant teams managers to ensure project planning is on schedule and on budget.

The Nike Direct Global Stores team seeks a Construction Manager (Fixtures, Furniture, & Equipment) who will collaborate with a broader team of external contributors from design and concept development through toolkit creation and implementation by translating innovative designs and retail concepts into reality!

We need an individual contributor with demonstrated technical knowledge of retail store development, construction, budget & scope management, shown success implementing and succeeding against a portfolio of projects and enjoys collaborating to problem solve to Win as a Team. The ideal candidate brings a successful track record of working closely with internal and external cross functional teams, external consultants, contractors and vendors.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience, and training (Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Industrial Design)
- Professional accreditation(s) - ex. LEED AP, PMP, etc.
- 5+ years of demonstrated ability in construction related project management
- Extensive experience in retail specific construction/design, fluency with architectural drawings, Store Fixtures, Retail Systems construction terminology and contract terms and types
- Experience with varied retail stores and store rollouts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Plangrid/Procore or similar, Smartsheet and/or other construction project management budget and scheduling platforms
- Experience leading production vendors directly
- Project management / program management experience required
- Scope and Contract management including bidding and negotiating with contractors and vendors
- Ability to build a strategic department plan, schedule and budget
- Ability to problem solve, identify ownership and track progress against organizational goals
- A passion for Nike and sport
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
In this role, you will work on development of future Store Concepts and Evolution of existing store concepts. Specifically, we seek a candidate who will be responsible for:
- Fixture Development - Actively lead Nike Construction and Design teams to develop new store fixtures that meet the briefs from cross functional partners in Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and other function. All the while, ensuring adherence to budget guardrails and design intent.
- Vendor Management - Manage global vendors for Fixture, Furniture and Equipment scopes through design, engineering, and development of new items.
- In Store Digital Hardware Standards - Work closely with Nike Tech and Marketing teams to help guide hardware selections based on global availability, ability for global management, and meeting budget constraints.
- Value Engineering - Lead Nike Construction and Design teams in working through exhaustive value engineering exercises to ensure consistency and scalability of retail concepts globally.
- Estimation/Cost Modeling - Work closely with vendors to create accurate estimates for Fixture, Furniture and Equipment scopes to inform global cost models and support geography teams. Collaborate with Global Construction Manager to ensure all costs are accurately represented in overall construction costs.
- Toolkit Support - Work with Global Design and Concept teams to ensure delivery of toolkit elements; including, but not limited to: Fixture Kit(s) of Parts, Fixture Revit Blocks, Material and Vendor Specifications.
- Collaboration with geography counterparts - Ensure that new work being developed is in service of our geography teams and attainable via their budgets and local means and methods.
- Budget Management - Ownership of budgets with consultants and vendors to deliver Global Construction Projects.
- Schedule Management - Overall ownership of project schedules
- Design Process and Preconstruction Management - collaborate with internal Nike design team, internal partners and external consultants to established required deliverables, schedule parameters and track resolution of outstanding issues for the full life-cycle as it relates to the development of stores.
- Contract Management and Documentation - lead teams in the contract scope development, review and provide award recommendations
- Sustainability - Responsibility for executing against LEED program and other sustainability initiatives
- Cross functional collaboration to ensure project deliverables are aligned across internal teams and stakeholders.

- Nike Stores Innovation lab - ensuring future strategy is implemented in mock-shop builds
- Procurement strategy development
- Sustainability initiative implementation
