WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Global Sr. Director of Brand Management for Women's Basketball. In this role you will work to define the Global Brand Marketing Strategy for our Women's Basketball business. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in brand management/marketing, the basketball industry, and leading a team!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will be driving the worldwide strategy for the Women's consumer construct and lead the team across a globally networked offense. You will:

• Create and lead a multiyear vision for Nike's Basketball offense inclusive of the consumer muse, brand tone of voice, athlete, moment and product strategies.

• Define and deliver long-term basketball brand plans across performance, culture, athletes and sports moments.

• Lead a cross-functional marketing team to create inspired and world class storytelling and consumer journeys which will take the brand, the consumer, our athletes and the basketball industry somewhere new.

• Define and drive annual & seasonal Marketing Plans anchored in big ideas that position Nike as the top basketball brand across the globe.

• Create and drive best in class Athlete Marketing Plans that define the future of sport.

• Partner with cross functional teams to develop and deliver long-term Consumer Concepts for basketball and the athletes.

• Lead & develop a highly capable, diverse and world-class, multi-disciplinary marketing team.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As the Global Sr. Director of Brand Management for Women's Basketball you will report directly to the VP of Global Women's Brand Management and manage a direct team of Experts and Brand Managers.

You will work as a part of a cross functional team in Men's and Women's Basketball as well as alongside leaders from Men's and Kid's Brand Management, and our four geographies to build a more comprehensive approach to serve athletes* more holistically.

You will collaborate and partner with the following internal partners:

  • Global Brand Management Leadership Team / Women's Management Leadership Team
  • Women's and Men's Basketball Cross Functional Leadership team
  • Geography Brand Leaders
  • Sports Marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Comms
  • Brand Creative leadership
  • External Partnerships with Athletes, leagues and clubs
  • Finance and Legal

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Sport/Fitness or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • 10+ Years of experience in Brand Management and Marketing building Consumer Connection, Brand Strategy, Bold visions and ideas and Marketing Journeys driving consumer engagement
  • Deep basketball knowledge/expertise
  • 7+ years of experience working with athletes/ high profile talent
  • Impeccable creative taste and a desire to dream big
  • Global perspective/experience.
  • Proven track record to drive and deliver results.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, to build, develop and encourage teams.

Preferred:

• Strategic Global Marketing Planning experience

• Translating business objectives and goals into annual marketing strategies and plans to create demand and drive growth

• Drive demand for our key products and drive brand energy

• End-to-end consumer experience and design thinking skills to drive engagement with our brand and products.

• Background in marketing communications strategies and holistic campaigns, anchored by a big idea grounded on insight, addressing the relevant and communicated in a clear and inspiring way

• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, resourcefulness and comfort level with ambiguity

  • Experience driving digital marketing offense connecting frequently and deeply
  • Geo and Global Experience, Brand Management/Functional Management
  • Deep experience of navigating external relationship dynamics - Relationship Management
