WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:

You will partner cross functionally with Buying, Consumer Planning, Allocation, Merch Financial Planning, and Marketing/ Brand teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Senior Assortment Planner for our North America Nike Value Stores to establish clear end to end bottoms up assortment plans partnering with Buying & MFP to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer centric offerings by creating pre-season style color plans that support the goals of Nike and consumer field of play and managing through to in- season optimization through a robust rolling forecast process and collaborative weekly offense.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
  • Ability to leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning.
  • Strong ability to influence and ability to design compelling communication grounded in data
  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in our store fleet as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes
  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend
  • Experience planning a stores centric business a plus

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

In this role you'll establish clear assortment plans that tell a story for the season and helps buying to create a line grounded in profitability and a consumer-centric offering. This will include collaborating with buying and other cross functional partners to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial plans and product opportunities.

You will:

  • Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly basis. You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.
  • Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the style color level (leveraging analytics), develop strategies to meet North America Value Stores financial goals and own open to buy bottoms up forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions through to in season optimization
  • Recap and analyze the business against forecast weekly and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly basis
  • Product forecasting and in season optimization by analyzing data, & providing actionable insights
  • Report on forecast variance weekly with action plans and risks & opportunities
  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities
