The Supply Chain Functional Development team supports 14,000 global team members to build critical skills through digital, live and experiential learning opportunities. The Principal, Supply Chain Functional Development Programs reports to the Director, Supply Chain Functional Development and collaborates closely with all functions under the Chief Supply Chain Officer, Human Resources and external partners. The Functional Development team is part of the Supply Chain Operations organization.

The Principal Supply Chain Functional Development Programs will blend their unique background of Supply Chain/Operations, Talent/Leadership Development, and Training/Learning and Development to build, scale, and run programs that anticipate and respond to the development needs of a large global function at Nike.

They have experience designing and running impactful talent programs serving adult learners, and ideally in Supply Chain/Operations. They will be directly responsible for the management of a development program for high-potential talent and provide support and strategic oversight of emerging programs.

They are a strong listener, ask good questions and are invested in supporting the development of others. They ideally have experience with personal assessment tools (e.g., CliftonStrengths) and executive coaching.

They are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate a need or opportunity into a tangible offering. They are adept at considering multiple inputs, including learner needs, business context and functional strategy, to design and deliver curriculum aligned with leading adult pedagogy and industry best practice.

They are passionate about growth, learning and development and are naturally curious, creative and innovative. They thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and possess a high level of persistence and adaptability, reacting to changes and obstacles with openness and resilience.

They have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex initiatives with efficiency and clarity, including measuring and communicating outcomes through metrics and/or Objective Key Results (OKRs).

They have superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a global, highly matrixed, relational setting; they are comfortable working with team members at all levels of the organization.

They have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including listening. They are a strong facilitator of live training and discussions.

They have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training, as well as 7+ combined years across Training/Learning and Development, Talent/Leadership Development, Program Management and/or Supply Chain/Operations.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You are responsible for conceptualizing, designing and facilitating development programs that serve the Supply Chain, Sustainability and Express Lane teams as part of the overall Functional Development initiative LIFT.

  • You will design, lead and continuously evolve a development program for high potential Supply Chain talent, including coaching, mentoring and supporting the growth of participants.
  • You will support emerging programs and develop new programs that contribute to the growth and development of Supply Chain team members.
  • You will design and lead engaging and effective live training sessions and discussions.
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment on a recently formed (less than one year) team that is highly motivated, passionate and talented.
  • On any given day, you may find yourself piloting a new program, meeting one-on-one with a participant to offer coaching, researching leading learning practices, designing a new training curriculum, or facilitating a strategic review of programs with senior leaders.
