WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The HR Readiness Principal is responsible for designing and evolving a Readiness (Change Management) Model for our global HR function - which includes preparing both our internal HR and People Solutions teammates as well as our Nike leaders, people managers and teammates across the globe. We're looking for someone with deep change expertise - but with the ability to translate that into practical, proactive and right-sized approaches for change readiness. You'll be developing change/readiness strategy, coaching and teaching teams involved in the work, and looking for ways to continuously innovate how we prepare all audiences for new and changing HR programs, services and systems.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be part of our Teammate Experience Services and Readiness team, which is focused on both readiness and advisory/service center support within our HR function. You will work collaboratively across HR teams (e.g. People Solutions, HR Portfolio, COEs, Business HR, etc.) to ensure smooth readiness in advance of all new and recurring HR rollouts.
This role will closely collaborate with a team of People Solutions Readiness professionals dedicated to preparing our internal HR and People Solutions team for new HR initiatives and recurring programs and services. By readying our HR team we are able to better counsel our Teammates and Leaders through the moments that matter in their career journey at Nike - including benefits, career and performance management processes, compensation/pay/time, HR systems, onboarding/offboarding, and other HR topics.
The HR Readiness Principal will not have direct reports - but will coach and guide partner teams leading and advising on readiness/change activities across the globe. You will build strong relationships with teams throughout HR to understand their programs and provide strategic advice and counsel on how best to ready HR and NIKE teammates through communications, training, content and other tactics.
You'll work with leadership to assess the effectiveness of the Readiness Model (through internal insights, feedback and adoption metrics) and suggest improvements on how best to ready our HR and Nike teammates.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be responsible for refining, socializing and evolving an HR Readiness Model, which outlines our readiness strategy, roles and responsibilities, and standard tools and templates. You'll make sure the Readiness Model is integrated as part of our broader HR program/project delivery model.
You'll also help us develop and maintain integrated readiness roadmaps to understand the scope of readiness/change across the enterprise and by audience - so that we can assess hotspots of change saturation to inform decision-making.
You will also coach other partner teams (those without change management and/or readiness experience) on their in the Readiness Model - with a focus on their audiences, using tactics to effectively reach NIKE leaders, people managers and teammates.
For larger, transformational initiatives, you'll serve as a Readiness Coach to help guide an integrated offense, ensuring all impacted employee groups are prepared for upcoming new or recurring HR programs.
Key responsibilities:
- Socialize the HR Readiness Model to ensure there is visibility and alignment to the scope, roles and responsibilities and methods. Use feedback and learnings to recommend ways to evolve the model.
- Develop and maintain standard tools and templates used for readiness/change delivery through a program/project lifecycle. Train users on the tools and templates for initial startup and ongoing use.
- Develop a deep understanding of existing communications, content and training channels for all audiences, and make recommendations on where to improve and adjust.
- Review HR program/service materials and provide thought leadership on appropriate readiness strategies, including audience identification, content and delivery methods.
- Champion a team of readiness professionals and partners throughout their delivery, and review delivery to ensure standards are met and to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work with the HR portfolio team to understand the body of HR work and make recommendations on readiness involvement in advance of activations; ensure that Readiness is appropriately involved in the broader HR program/project delivery model.
- Partner with HR Content and HR Communications teams to understand upcoming activations and to align on roles and responsibilities.
- In partnership with other leaders across HR, champion innovation and continuous improvement opportunities to deliver elevated experiences for Nike Teammates.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training
- Direct experience leading a fast-paced readiness, change/transition management and/or communications team.
- Knowledge of and implementation experience in standard change/transition management principles and methodology (e.g PROSCI, ADKAR, etc).
- Experience developing readiness and change plans for a global, matrixed organization - including changes spanning annual/operational updates through large-scale transformations.
- Experience creating a wide variety of employee readiness, communication and training content across various channels.
- Expertise in successfully training both change/readiness partners unfamiliar with change/readiness, as well as readiness/change practitioners, on a new change/readiness model.
- Ability to clearly communicate information across a sophisticated matrix of corporate, regional, and functional teams, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.
- Strong mentorship and coaching capability; ability to motivate and guide a high performing and distributed team.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with a broad business audience.
- Experience with HR programs, services and systems strongly preferred.
- Workday and ServiceNow experience preferred but not required.
