Our Global Entertainment, Sport and Community Marketing team is a diverse group of industry experts who work directly with individuals pushing culture and sport forward. The team identifies and maintains key relationships and collaborations that help serve our brand and inspire our consumer.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As part of our Global Entertainment, Sport and Community Marketing team, the Director of Entertainment Marketing will implement the strategic vision for Entertainment through work with our Icons and Emerging Icon talent. This individual will need the skills to set strategy and execute against complex journeys from product creation through go-to market. We're looking for someone who is self motivated and self sufficient, has the unique ability to work in ambiguity, and brings both the brand and partner visions together with a delicate balance of art and science. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You are responsible for developing and fostering strong relationships with global entertainers and influencers to drive marketing strategies through these relationships and leaders in the creative industry. As an integral part of the team, you will:

  • Leverage relationships to identify talent for brand integration - both long and short term opportunities where Converse can "be there first" with talent that inspires our consumer
  • Build product and brand journeys with our signed Icons
  • Drive innovation through industry knowledge to develop relative events, product placement, and product visibility on key influencers
  • Reimagine a best-in-class seeding offense - developing the strategy and execution of a new plan
  • You'll work closely with cross-functional brand and business partners at the Global and Geo level to ensure that Converse gets maximum value from our partnerships
  • Set global entertainment strategy and direction (music, TV, & film) to be driven through geography
  • Implement quick response strategic plans to capitalize on rapid entertainment industry changes to maintain Converse's competitive edge
  • Lead with collaboration, a growth mindset, be data driven, and remain passionate about key priorities

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Sr. Director of Entertainment, Sport and Energy Marketing and work directly with the Product teams. You will work closely with our Social, Digital, Comms, Brand Creative, Legal, and Brand Management teams (Global and Geo) to ensure Entertainment Marketing efforts support brand and business objectives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of Entertainment industry knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
  • Talent management, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
  • Partnership management; ability to develop and use internal and external partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, resourcefulness and comfort with ambiguity
  • Experience driving marketing offense connecting with specific target audiences
  • Strong understanding of full funnel marketing with a focus primarily on top of funnel
  • Deep industry contacts across the fields of music, celebrity, TV & film
  • Enterprise thinking, end-to-end business knowledge
  • Ability to drive interpersonal alignment at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience achieving results in a balanced way, serving our consumers and partners, while engaging and growing our people in a safe and people-first environment
  • Strong cross functional collaboration while striving for outstanding results
  • Demonstrated contractual knowledge and experience
