DC OPERATIONS MANAGER - NIKE

BRIMLEY DISTRIBUTION CENTRE, TORONTO, CANADA

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Director Operations, Canada DC, you will work with a high-performance team of leaders and cross-functional partners to provide industry leading service to Nike customers across the country.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You have a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced warehouse or operations setting, with the desire to drive change in a way that builds trust, values diversity, recognizes achievements, redirects marginal performance, and provides for a premium employee experience.

You will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or College Diploma or High School Diploma with relevant work experience
  • 5-7 years with relevant work experience managing small to large teams in a Distribution Centre setting
  • Experience in Supply Chain Operations required
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in SAP and Manhattan warehouse management operating systems preferred
  • Proficiency in oral/English. French is an asset but not mandatory
  • Ability to work cross functionally, multitask, problem solve and meet deadlines is critical
  • Shift flexibility is critical and will be required

Shift availability : Midnight shift ~11pm to 7:30am

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Direct the development and implementation of the annual operations business plan to align with Country, North American Geography and Global Supply Chain objectives. You will apply management expertise to set direction and resolve problems.

Business Expertise and Leadership:

  • Continuously evaluate, analyze, design and implement innovative processes and procedures that foster improvement of the operation and service
  • Select, motivate, develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the leadership team
  • Help develop annual operating plans that align with Nike financial goals

Delivering Solutions:

  • To actively cultivate relationships within and outside of the organization to exchange ideas, obtain support and drive results.
  • Lead and drive change in the operation in a way that builds trust, values diversity, recognizes achievement responsible for daily planning of orders in accordance with established CRD's (Customer Request Date's), priorities and account restrictions.
  • Work closely with the Planning Team to help develop the most effective daily work load plans
  • Provide daily and periodical reports and documents such as DIFOT, Outbound Report, Order pool, 7-day load projections and others as required.

Impact:

  • Develop and foster relationships cross functionally.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and solutions.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of the team within the operation.
