We are looking for a Maintenance Manager - in the Day Shift at our European Logistics Campus (ELC) - to lead, mentor, drive and inspire in our delivery by improving availability and reliability of our technical assets!
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As Maintenance Manager you will be accountable for corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance activities in your DC. The distribution centers (DC) of Nike European Logistics Campus for which we are looking for a Maintenance Managers day shift is located in Laakdal and Ham. Our impressive material handling equipment consists of a marathon distance of conveyors, 247 cranes, 390 shuttles, 13 sorters, +300 PLCs, more than 1700 barcode scanners and more than 4600 frequency and servo controls. You define a strategic roadmap for the maintenance teams together with the other maintenance managers and implement a sustainable approach to drive continuous improvement of our maintenance processes. This will involve innovative solutions in our way of working and implementation of new maintenance methodologies to execute maintenance in a 24/7 environment. As a real people manager, you coach and encourage your teams to strengthen our Nike Culture and you manage the talent pipeline of your teams, in a way that people can develop from within. You enable them to work in a safe and healthy environment, where everybody feels respected.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will become part of the Maintenance & Engineering Leadership team. The Director of this team will be the mentor of your Nike journey. Working closely together with the other Maintenance and Engineering managers, operations, IT and planning teams you also frequently connect with different external partners like our MHE (material handling equipment) vendors. You represent Maintenance & Engineering in multifunctional meetings.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A theoretical technical background, relevant electromechanical engineering degree or equivalent through experience.
- You are a highly competent and experienced people leader and you can inspire a tenured and autonomous team.
- Proven professional expertise in a maintenance/engineering environment within a multinational company - a logistics environment being an advantage however you might also have worked in manufacturing, production, chemicals etc.
- Expertise in all aspects of automation: mechanics, electrics, pneumatics, PLC, ...
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment is a plus.
- Positive, open-minded and solution-oriented approach.
- Team player who builds an environment where people can grow.
- Positive influencer with excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
