JORDAN LEAD MERCH FINANCIAL PLANNER

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

This role is part the Jordan Planning team. We own demand, supply & inventory plans across the E2E value chain to ensure Jordan can meet it's strategic, financial, and operational goals. This includes working across other teams like Merchandising, Finance, Marketplace, Insights & Analytics, MPU MFP counterparts and others. This role reports into the Snr Planning Director for Jordan.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated experience in Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP)and understanding of financial, assortment and inventory planning

You are proactive and can work with multiple x functional teams to drive towards a clear and aligned MFP that will be used for critical decision making. You can work with non-routine information and develop recommendations for ideas or services. You can provide direction and mentorship to teammates if/when needed. You can solve problems using limited information and implement solutions with the ability to foresee and communicate clearly most future implications. You are an Advanced-level professional, that is advising others on complex matters when needed.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated experience in Business Planning, inclusive of DSM, Finance, and Merchandising planning processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of process-flow through end-to-end supply chains as well as omnichannel retail and coordinated marketplace planning strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage efficiently with a broad range of audiences including retail partner, senior business leaders, other senior planning leaders, and highly technical talents. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of automated planning systems, MS Windows applications, particularly Excel.
  • Growth mindset that is ready to leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop a decision-oriented plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and design compelling communication grounded in data. You can understand complex work and are a strong conceptual thinker.
  • Can identify commercial decisions and lead decision making because of a well-developed merch financial plan.
  • A strategic outlook and shown experience leading projects, with a track record of overcoming obstacles and challenges to meet business expectations.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear storytelling & sound business acumen. Bigger picture thinking by understanding how the Nike/Jordan matrix operates x-functionally.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As Lead Merch Financial Planner you will be responsible for the Merch Financial plan for Jordan for all FOP's (Streetwear, Sports, Energy)

Shape and contribute to 6 season Merchandise Financial Plan & SSP (Retail Sales, Margin and inventory) for Jordan Fields of Play x Marketplace Units including management of R&O between FOP x Marketplace.

Partner with Marketplace peers/stakeholders & drive a consistent and aligned MFP that fits both MPU as well as Jordan strategy.

Reconcile MFP with Jordan Assortment Plans and drive a clear R&O.

Own and manage projects independently; set the project direction, define scope, and proactively prioritize across wider work.

Be the voice of Jordan within the Merch Financial Planning community, be the voice of MFP within Jordan.
