Our Materials Manufacturing team drives the expansion and evolution of material palettes, collaborating with new and existing suppliers to ensure success of material sourcing for our products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently while meeting cost, quality, and production timelines.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with Materials Costing leadership while driving a critical x-functional partnership with Material Sourcing, Material Development, Partner/Materials Management, Operations, Finance and Global Business Planning teams. You will connect with Material Developers, Designers, Chemical Engineers, Suppliers, and Factory Partners to understand product excellence requirements, manufacturing processes, and associated sustainability initiatives. In your role, you will serve as an integral contact for multi-source costing levers, 3PL providers, material trends, strategies and metrics.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an innovative individual capable of identifying, crafting, and approaching material costing through an enterprise lens, while also effectively communicating with global teammates, working cross-culturally and valuing differences. The ideal candidate will bring a curious mindset, proactive approach, and a critical focus on cost transparency. The candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in problem solving environments.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs
  • A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience preferably in materials sourcing, costing, and supply chain management in the apparel textile and yarn industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of textile and yarn manufacturing, including costing across cotton and polyester throughout the value chain.
  • Proven experience in building and deploying material cost models and negotiating costs with external vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven mindset, with preferred experience in data systems or analytics.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across complex environments and maintain focus through ambiguity; willingness to travel up to 10%.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As an integral part of the Material Costing team, you will be the lead facilitating Costing capabilities for new palette materials, creating and maintaining ongoing tools, and executing cost consolidation programs for maximum ROI. You will be responsible for translating raw materials market data into negotiation targets, creating negotiation and costing strategies, conducting cost execution with key suppliers, tracking seasonal development cost progress, and capturing value through operational reporting. You will need to unlock aggregated volume across similar materials to expand multi-source capabilities while improving finish goods COGs margins.
