WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You'll oversee and provide leadership in the sourcing/costing process for the product team and work across the organizational matrix. You'll set classification and seasonal margins targets and provide margins reports to the team to ensure margins are tracking towards targets.

Create and execute a long range and seasonal sourcing plan for each classification and product. Collaborate with key stakeholder (PLMs/Development/Global Sourcing) to select the most appropriate manufacturing source to meet delivery, capacity, quality, and pricing needs. Present sourcing strategy to the team and to Global Sourcing.

Represent Sourcing in cross functional line planning with Development and PLMs to ensure products are sourced at the best factory taking into consideration material and silhouette availability, factory capabilities, and costing implications.

Input sourcing and duty rates in the system for each season and manage source plugs to secure factory capacity. Work with Demand Planning, PLMs, and Global Sourcing to update plugs based on future fabric, category, and forecast projections.

Review cost sheets to understand cost drivers and check for any errors. Work back with factory partners to resolve any discrepancies.

Cost test each style prior to sending kits out. Strong partnerships with PLMs and Development during proto reviews to review margins, cost drivers, and run cost scenarios to inform the team on material change impacts on style and portfolio margin targets.

Build relationships with Express Lane's key Apparel suppliers. Collaborate with factory to find solves to build profitable product while still hitting design's vision. Travel with team to factory on-sites to lead costing conversations, report margins, and run cost scenarios.

Collaborate with Global Sourcing team to set up near shore factory options to enable a shortened product calendar and unlock speed to market products.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 5 years' experience in a production, purchasing, pricing, costing, development or in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Apparel Product creation experience is desired
  • Knowledge of sourcing and how it fits into processes and events from product concept to delivery
  • Knowledge of forecasting and scheduling processes
  • Advanced knowledge of systems tools that support the sourcing process
  • Knowledge of international trade policies, practices, and procedures Strong planning, project management and analysis skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements as it impacts sourcing decisions
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to balance marketing/production biases
  • Ability to be detail orientated without losing sight of the big picture
  • Nike Sourcing, Production or Development experience is helpful
  • Up to 10% travel

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON?

This role is focused on leading sourcing & costing for Multi gender (Men's, Women's, Kids & Jordan) across diverse group of apparel product types (knits & wovens, performance and lifestyle & broad group of classifications) on a faster timeline and to serve NA geography marketplace.

As our Lead Sourcing & Costing Manager, you'll create and execute long range and seasonal sourcing plans for NA Express Lane apparel. You'll represent Sourcing in cross functional line planning, material selection and development to ensure product needs and factory capabilities are built into the timelines and process. You will lead creative solutions against the sourcing needs of making product in a close to market environment, as well as lead and develop the current source base into a new way of working closer to market.

You'll offer manufacturing alternatives to resolve design, development and costing challenges. You'll provide sourcing strategy and direction while collaborating to select the most appropriate manufacturing source to meet delivery, quality and pricing needs. You'll analyze manufacturing capabilities, capacities, and cost expectation alongside demand requirements to anticipate and avoid issues.
