WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be reporting to the NVS Senior Assortment Planning Manager Men's, you will foster collaborative relationships with key cross functional partners pre-season and in-season, including Merch Financial Planning (MFP), Merchandising Function, Consumer AP, Allocation, Business Offense, Value Marketplace, Seasonal Moments and other ND Planning Teams.

As a part of Nike Value Team, you will drive the E2E strategic assortment planning and inventory management for your CFOP, across Nike value stores. You will be able to unlock the best experience for our consumers through developing pre-season financial and assortment plans as well as maximizing in-season opportunities through trade and inventory management.

Alongside the planning of your CFOP, you will be leading the pre-season strategic pillar, focusing on evolving the NVS CODE and planning processes.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • Strategic Assortment planning: You will be developing pre-season assortment plans for your CFOP- Aligning product plans with revenue, margin, and inventory goals, ensuring optimal assortment depth and breadth for Nike Value Stores. Furthermore, you will work cross functionally during in-season trading to deliver and exceed seasonal targets for product revenue, profitability and inventory productivity.
  • Risk management: You are aware of emerging trends in the overall business and your own CFOP. You escalate risks and opportunities that are grounded in facts and presents options for resolution.
  • Consumer focus: You understand the needs of the consumer and marketplace from available data and link plans with market trends. Awareness of product portfolio and strategy, including expectations around consumer response, growth opportunities and product lifecycle.
  • Influence: You design compelling communications that articulate the story and insights with a clear summary of the main ideas. Listen actively and make insightful contributions.
  • Stakeholder management / Collaboration: Actively advocate alignment with multiple stakeholders downstream and upstream, including merchandising, Allocation, consumer planning and S&IP.
  • Think Strategically: Demonstrate ability to prioritize and lead independently strategic objectives, through project-based work or business processes.
  • Embrace and lead change: Drive organizational and operational change even when things are uncertain, or the way forward is unclear to drive improvement within a fast paced and ever evolving Retail environment.
  • Team coaching: You will guide and mentor your teammates and act as a "go to" person.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in Consumer and/or Retail Merchandising/Assortment Planning be crucial.
  • Experience deciding markdown & pricing strategies and/or working in off-price retail.
  • Strategic outlook and proven experience leading projects independently with diverse teams, with a track record of overcoming obstacles and challenges to meet business expectations
  • You are a team player, you demonstrate the ability to work in a cross-functional team, as well as engaging and coaching your peers.
  • Commercial acumen & Entrepreneurial mind and forward-thinking skillset to drive the results
  • A self-starter mentality, eager to drive and own end to end communication with results driven, forward thinking and proficient information seeking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders and direct cross functional teammates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments, and to meet timelines
  • Excellent knowledge of automated planning systems, MS Windows applications, particularly Excel, WSSI, Assortment Planning tools.
