FW ENGINEERING II FLYKNIT VIETNAM
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This role will be based at Nike's Flyknit Commercialization Center (FCDC) near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and report to the Manager, FW Engineering Flyknit Vietnam. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Flyknit development team at Nike headquarters, external vendor partners, and footwear factories to test and validate new upper fabrics. You will be closely aligned to Flyknit Programmers who create and modify the knit programs.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer motivated to continually grow and learn. We are looking for a strong team player and a proficient multi-tasker who can work on product across multiple seasons. Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with Consumer Product and/or Hard goods manufacturing experience.
- Skills in pattern engineering, manufacturing, and material testing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files.
- Proficient with MS Office, 2D/3D CAD/CAM and footwear manufacturing software (Dimensions! PROCAM Preferred)
- Mechanically inclined and capable of working hands on with complex manufacturing machines in fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills are required as this role works across multiple projects, teams, and seasons.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will be responsible for validating Knit Tech packages and provide feedback to ensure quality, consistency, and manufacturability. This involves coordinating with factory teams on sampling, pattern grading, commercialization, and issue management from development to production. Your role will focus on applying best practices and driving cost-effective, sustainable solutions without compromising aesthetics or performance.
- Validate Knit Tech Packages and provide critical feedback to the World Headquarters (WHQ) Knit Advance Product Creation Center (APCC) team during the knit development stages to ensure product quality, consistency, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate closely with Knit Factory team on sampling and data collection.
- Be responsible for pattern grading and commercialization of footwear textile uppers.
- Manage project's work back schedule and communication of Flyknit product issues that arise from development to production stages.
- Learn and apply Flyknit Engineering best practices at vendor Knit Center and footwear factory locations.
- Drive cost effective solutions, sustainability targets, while maintaining aesthetic & performance requirements through manufacturing.
