As the Director of Engineering, you will lead high performing, agile engineering team(s) responsible for design, development, testing, delivery and maintenance partnering with product and program peers and business leaders to define and deliver the technology roadmap.

What you will work on:

As the Solution Validation Engineering Director, you will play a central role in leading end-to-end testing efforts across multiple stakeholders. You will need to be a thoughtful leader in the testing space and be able to drive change across the organization. You will define a test strategy to support our current and future testing needs and will lead the team to implement this strategy in an effective manner. Your expertise in testing methods, tools, and automation will ensure we bring innovation to Nike while delivering on time and with quality.

  • Defines strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and team goals and objectives that align with business strategies.
  • Effectively incorporate automation and service virtualization into our test strategy and execution to accelerate delivery of our products.
  • Establishes quality and reliability standards by researching product and consumer requirements with peers and across the organization, within IT and the business.
  • Establishes defect management standards and processes that align with various testing methodologies.
  • Establishes standards that define 'quality certified' via validation tests, methods, and procedures.
  • Establishes rework standards by automated and physical testing methods and procedures.
  • Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures, ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Incorporates various testing methodologies into QA frameworks while ensuring speed, quality, and appropriate cost.
  • Maintains product quality by enforcing QA governance and procedures and legal and regulatory requirements; collaborating with members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and training methods.
  • Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Completes quality assurance operational requirements via resource planning and forecasting; following up on work results.
  • Maintains quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Maintains quality assurance staff job results by coaching and mentoring employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing the team's budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

What do you bring to NIKE:

  • At least 12 years of leading a Quality Management team
  • Experience driving and delivering test strategies that include Agile practices
  • Experience delivering strategic quality assurance/management initiatives and innovations that include enterprise.
  • Hands on experience with a broad range of Test Management and Test Automation tools. Such as HP ALM, JIRA, Worksoft, SAP Solution Manager, Tosca Tricentis, LoadRunner and open source tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, IT or related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • SAP knowledge and experience
