Manager, FP&A

The Finance Manager role is a member of the Gracenote FP&A team. In this role, the Finance Manager will play an integral part in the forecasting, planning, and reporting of Gracenote's ~$300M+ revenue, globally, acting as the primary finance business partner for the sales leadership team. The Gracenote FP&A team is a fast paced, high performing team that executes financial planning and analysis. Cross-functional partnership is required across the entire Nielsen organization to develop and improve reporting packages, planning processes, financial models and analytics. This role will also provide ad-hoc analysis as needed to support and influence senior leadership. Strong financial acumen including experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

    • Finance business partner for Gracenote's sales segment leaders, supporting them with revenue planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
    • Ownership of ~$250M revenue across key segments - pay TV, platforms, Consumer electronics, advertisers, SMB.
    • Conduct weekly revenue reviews with direct ownership over the top 25 accounts, and provide oversight to contractors/offshore resources analyzing all other accounts.
    • Play key support role ensuring effective revenue transition onto S4 (O2C) and SAP Analytics Cloud (planning & reporting) for Gracenote.
    • Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
    • Run month close process, ensuring required journal entries are submitted and oversee variance analysis to ensure accurate and insightful reporting.
    • Continually assess and improve revenue reporting, metrics and analyses as we progress as an FP&A organization.
    • Preparation and consolidation as part of the financial cycle including monthly/quarterly budgeting & forecasting, annual plan setting, variance to plan and forecast analysis, etc.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 5+ years' experience in a financial planning and analysis role, 1+ year of manager experience preferred.
    • Must have a strong work ethic, self-motivated work style and a good attention to detail and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities.
    • Individual contributor and team player with great communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong financial modeling skills with experience building and maintaining models.
    • Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
    • Experience manipulating large data sets and turning them into usable information.
    • Comfortable working cross-functionally and with senior leadership.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
    • Previous Operations Finance experience is a plus.
    • SAP Financial systems and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience strongly preferred

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $66,000-$225,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
