Director of GTM Enablement

About the Team:

At Netlify, we are building our Enablement Team from the ground up, and this role will be one of the founding members of that team. You’ll have a key role in driving internal consistency and helping cross-functional teams align on how we communicate the value of our product. We’re looking for someone to help solve an important business need: creating a unified approach and shared vocabulary to enable our teams to effectively present what we offer. As a founding team member, you’ll build the curriculum and comprehensive enablement strategy, with opportunities to shape the team’s future direction. You'll work closely with marketing, product, and technical stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned in how we talk about our technology. By developing consistent training materials and communication strategies, you’ll empower teams to confidently share the Netlify story and navigate technical conversations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create a comprehensive enablement curriculum from scratch, collaborating with Product and Marketing to keep our technical messaging consistent and relevant.
  • Lead enablement sessions, including technical demos and Q&As, creating a space for real-time questions and deeper understanding and ensuring GTM teams are well-prepared to represent our technical story.
  • Establish a streamlined internal communication framework, reducing noise and structuring weekly enablement sessions to ensure consistent, clear messaging across teams.
  • Partner with product, marketing, and internal stakeholders to continuously improve how we teach our teams about Netlify’s technology and value propositions.
  • Build and manage certification programs and interactive learning paths to validate technical competency across teams, using metrics and KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of enablement initiatives.
  • Deliver engaging enablement sessions, like technical demos or webinars, adapting to real-time questions and helping internal teams understand the developer audience more deeply.
  • Create and maintain a central knowledge base of technical resources, best practices, and competitive intelligence
  • Gather and integrate feedback from team members and program participants, continuously refining training materials and delivery methods to ensure they’re inclusive, relevant, and impactful.
  • Build scalable processes for rapid enablement following new product releases and feature launches.
  • Facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions between technical teams and customer-facing teams.
  • Maintain an up-to-date enablement calendar, aligned with product launches and company priorities, to keep technical resources, sessions, and certification tracks current and accessible to all team members.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in technical enablement, ideally from a background in Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering, with a deep understanding of the developer landscape.
  • A knack for breaking down complex technical topics and making them accessible for different internal teams, like sales and agency partners.
  • Experience working at a company with a highly technical product, preferably selling to developers, with the ability to walk the walk and understand the developer audience on a deeper level.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a natural ability to teach and relay information clearly and effectively to non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience in building enablement programs from scratch, including curriculum design, knowledge management, and training content.
  • A proactive approach to collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product, to challenge the status quo and drive improvements in internal training materials.
  • Based in North America, with the flexibility to communicate across global teams if needed
