Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Commodity Manager to join our Indirect Procurement team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize procurement processes, drive cost savings, and enhance supplier relationships. This position requires a deep understanding of procurement strategies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

  • Developing policies and procedures relating to the organization's sourcing/ commodity purchasing function.
  • Leading activities of purchasing decision making, providers identification and purchase agreements negotiation, in compliance with standards and the budget.
  • Scheduling purchases in order to meet production schedules while minimizing overhead. Adjusting and improving purchasing schedule as needed in response to market supply or demand.
  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for sourcing/ commodity procurement teams; managing, motivating, and developing project and team leaders.
  • Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies that drive transformational change and align with the company's long-term vision.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and execute strategic initiatives that enhance procurement processes and deliver significant cost savings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute change management plans that support the successful implementation of new procurement strategies.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities to create a competitive advantage for the company.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to procurement teams, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations to senior management, highlighting the impact of procurement initiatives on business performance.

Education

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience or with managerial experience typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement or Engineering equivalent technical degree. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is Missing Geo Zone (Check Location). The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
