Job Summary

As a Software Engineer in Test in the Core Storage Engineering (CSE) organization, you will work as part of a highly skilled team responsible for the research and development of embedded software used in NetApp storage products. The team is focused on enabling high-capacity, high-performance SAS and NVMe based storage I/O modules and disk shelves. You will participate in all aspects of product lifecycles including design, development, testing and debugging of embedded software for new storage products as well as enhancements to existing NetApp storage products.

Job Requirements

• Ability to perform software Unit Testing, System Testing and White Box Testing
• Excellent scripting skills (Python, PERL, Linux Scripting, etc.)
• Experience in Software Verification or Software Quality Assurance
• A background in embedded software development and software testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to engage in critical and/or high visibility customer support cases
• Strong team mentality with desire and ability to work well both intra-team and cross-functionally with other teams (verification, customer support, program management, other software teams, etc.)
• Experience with C programming
• Experience developing in Windows and Linux platforms
• Willingness to learn new skills working with real time operating systems, embedded software development tools, and storage protocols such as SAS, NVMe, SCSI and SATA
