Job Summary

The primary role of an Account Manager is to pursue, develop, and close strategic, traditional, and transformational opportunities within the SLED sector in the geography.

***Must live within a commutable distance of customer locations in the greater Richmond, VA area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall account strategy for the pursuit of both traditional and transformational opportunities
  • Collaborate with core account teams to develop account plans, including overall account strategy, identification of transformational pursuits, stakeholder mapping, and pursuit strategy
  • Cultivate relationships with customer stakeholders, including executives at all levels
  • Identify, pursue, and close strategic traditional and transformational sales opportunities
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key partners
  • Support formal RFPs by leading solution development, pricing, and strategy
  • Achieve or exceed semiannual sales goals
  • Stay informed about competitive market positioning relative to NetApp solutions

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Account Management experience in a relevant industry with large SLED customers
  • Storage experience, strong partner relationships in the territory, and thorough knowledge of the territory are required
  • Ability to work independently and resolve customer-facing problems
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and provide analysis to assist customers in making buying decisions
  • Proven track record of successful solution-selling
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $228,000 - $278,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
