Job Summary
The Innovation and Solutions Team at NetApp is looking for a Developer Advocate to work with AI partners and drive adoption of both partner and NetApp products and services. As a developer advocate, you will use your strong understanding of AI and data platforms to bridge the gap between developers working in different organizations. You will be responsible for building and growing relationships with developers and providing them with the support they need to succeed in the NetApp ecosystem.

You will author compelling developer content that highlights the capabilities of NetApp products and services and helps partners realize the benefits of integrating them. Your demos, code samples, and blog/vlogs will show the partners you work with how to integrate and you will present your work at industry-leading conventions and events. You will use appropriate communication channels to meet developers where they are.
You will become the voice of partners within the company. You will answer questions and help partners solve problems and pass your understanding of the partner experience to NetApp product teams so that experience can be improved.
You will also help partners publicize their role in the NetApp ecosystem by supporting their demos and blog/vlog posts. Your success in this role will be evident by the many successful partners in the NetApp ecosystem and the resulting sales of NetApp products and services driven thereby.
Job Requirements
- Experience working with partners on joint solutions; experience with open source communities a plus
- A background in developer relations, technical writing, solution architecture, or software engineering
- Experience working with one or more public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience working with one or more data platforms (such as Databricks or Snowflake)
- Excellent communication skills and experience producing well-documented code samples, demos, tutorials, and blogs/vlogs
- Experience writing code in a production environment and working with container-based development
- The ability to work across teams with limited supervision
- Ability to travel 20% of the time for conferences, conventions and partner meetings
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform
- Experience with key open source AI technologies, for example: Iceberg, Hudi, Kafka, PyTorch, Milvus
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience with open source AI technologies.
- Requires a minimum of 8 years writing code in a production environment and working with container-based development
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in solution development

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $180,090- $253,110 . Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
