Navan is seeking a business-minded lawyer to join our team as Director, Corporate Securities. This role will report to the General Counsel at the company.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure compliance with securities laws, rules, and regulations, including listing requirements and all public filings;
- Provide legal oversight of quarterly earnings and investor relations related disclosures and advise on shareholder related matters;
- Manage processes related to quarterly and ad hoc Board and Committee meetings, and ensure corporate governance best practices;
- Support corporate-related tasks, such as insider trading compliance, drafting compliance certificates, advising on director & officer matters, etc.; and

What We’re Looking For:
- You have 8+ years of experience as a corporate securities lawyer, working in-house at a public company, at a law firm, or a combination of both
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and present complex ideas simply and understandably to employees at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- You have experience creating clarity and bringing focus and direction to the most important priorities that will drive the biggest impact, mitigating the most significant risks, and delivering the greatest return on the investment of time and resources
- You are able to foster empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect in your practice, and you default toward assuming good intentions about others
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and you can deal with and navigate ambiguity
- You are intellectually curious, humble (no task is too big or too small), and—through it all—don’t take yourself too seriously
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
