Intelligence Analyst - Experienced to Expert Level (Maryland)

Responsibilities:

NSA Intelligence Analysts are at the leading edge of NSA's mission, and have the power to influence world affairs. NSA Analysts are poised to provide the most complete possible foreign signals intelligence picture to U.S. policy makers and military commanders. They detect, discover, and deter foreign adversary intrusions into US networks and devise new ways to exploit foreign adversary capabilities. They do so in a variety of ways:

- Leverage NSA's unique capabilities to understand and mitigate global Cyber threats
- Research foreign intelligence targets and their geo-political environment
- Apply new techniques and develop creative solutions to address analytic problems such as synthesizing large volumes of data and disparate sources of information

- Understand communications technology and burgeoning commercial and foreign intelligence target technology trends
- Craft written assessments of foreign intelligence that provide unique insight into target intentions unavailable from other intelligence disciplines
- Collaborate effectively (both within NSA and with the Intelligence Community) to further NSA missions

Job Summary:

Join the agency's exciting Intelligence Analysis mission, using your skills in research, analysis, reporting, and telecommunications to help protect US government information systems and ensure senior leaders are provided with time-sensitive cryptologic support for integrated information and cyberspace operations across the DOD and US Government.

Qualifications:

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.

A degree in any field is acceptable.

Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: performing intelligence or language analysis; writing, editing, or producing technical/analytic reports or products (e.g., working aids, briefings); conducting research and analysis using established professional methods and techniques; data/information management in an area directly related to an NSA mission; threat analysis, risk analysis, or traffic analysis; geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems; or drafting/editing intelligence reports. Experience may also include multi-source or technical threat analysis (e.g., SIGINT, ELINT, FISINT, Open-Source, and Geospatial) or experience in a similar mission in the IC or DoD.

FULL PERFORMANCE
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience.

SENIOR
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

EXPERT
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Prior military without a degree but with intelligence analysis cryptologic experience will be considered.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule:

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Salary Range: $82,764 - $191,900 (Full Performance, Senior, Expert Level)
Salary range varies by location, work level, and relevant experience to the position. This position is hiring for Maryland.

On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
