We're seeking someone to join our team as a Workplace Demand Manager and support the global workplace organization managing space and occupancy planning, experience design programming, and related real estate initiatives across various business units.

In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley's workforce, across our global workplace locations, to work in the service of our clients effectively and efficiently. This is a director position within Corporate Real Estate, which is responsible for overseeing the management of business unit workforce head count demand, with associated workplace planning and leasing activities aligned to the Firm's properties.

What you'll do in the role: BPDBA #LI-MB1
  • Act and lead as a key member of the program delivery team to.
  • Devise the strategy to manage and report the Firms workforce location demand that the global workplace team need to report and respond to in their planning strategies for execution.
  • Strategize and innovate the end-to-end processes, offering recommendations for improvements and operational efficiencies connecting to Workplace demand and capacity management.
  • Form a rigorous client management and governance process to align demand management to human capital approved workforce strategies and real estate workforce changes that provide transparency and endorsement at all levels in the Firm.
  • Partner with business units to capture and analyze multi-year seat demand projections, identifying drivers of growth and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with workforce strategy team to manage the detail requirements to execute business strategies.
  • Establish a cyclical business and client engagement strategy to gain insight to business priorities relating to people and workforce, understanding drivers of change to report out.
  • Provide regular reporting across the Real Estate Solutions organization with changes to demand, critical supply issues and opportunities to right size.
  • Partner with the global Workplace leaders to transfer business intelligence into communications and action plans with wider corporate services teams.
  • Assist in aligning planning initiatives with financial objectives and operational goals across the Firm.
  • Provide cross-departmental support to Real Estate Governance functions, including government incentives, post-acquisition service integration, and space demand management.
  • Analyze trends and patterns to identify risks and opportunities by site, providing insights that influence location strategy and real estate planning.
  • Support the consolidation of departmental information and synthesize findings for senior management review
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the Firm's Global Real Estate & Location Strategy based on thorough market and data analysis.

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in financial services or real estate, with a focus on planning, analysis, or demand management.
  • Excellence in client relationship management.
  • Strong interest in financial institutions, organizational management, and real estate strategy.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough business analysis, with strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities and to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Awareness of linkage between design, real estate planning & financial results, and with ability to tailor strategic direction to address financial challenges.
  • Ability to distill complex information to the essential for client decision-making.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to present to and communicate with demanding clients within the Business Units, managing expectations through the planning process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms.
