Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks a Vice President, Strats in New York, NY

Work as a Desk Strategist to facilitate risk management by creating and maintaining pricing, risk and stress testing models. Use various statistical techniques to analyze securitized products of different asset types. Develop infrastructure, tools and dashboards to manage, analyze and visualize large amounts of collateral data. Re-architect production systems and risk infrastructure to modernize the platform and achieve scalability. Support and optimize the desk's day-to-day-business by collaborating with business units and IT teams and creating workflow automations.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $240,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Finance, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: fixed income and specific market sectors; Residential real-estate including Residential Mortgage-Backed Security (RMBS) and Single-Family Rental (SFR); Corporate credit including Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO), and middle-market/direct lending; Transportation ABS; KDB/Q; Python with statistical libraries numpy, and pandas; Web UI development including JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS, and React. Requires one (1) year of experience with: C++, R; Unix operating systems and shell scripting; Data management and SQL; Distributed Version Control Systems (DVCS) including GIT; scheduling tools including Autosys, and JIRA.
