Profile Description
We're seeking someone to join our IMIT Datalink IT Team as a Vice President in IMIT Data Strategy Department.
Role would be of an experienced developer in highly professional client facing development team, working on Strategic MSIM initiatives by designing & implementing micro services and user interfaces for data access and integration with internal/vendor systems.

The MSIM Datalink Team, is managing/maintaining/extending/supporting the Data API Platform within MSIM. The Data API Platform is the primary interface to ALL data consumption needs for ALL systems running within MSIM. We are processing millions of the users' requests on a weekly basis. Given the horizontal nature of our platform that operates/running 24/6 and its criticality for all critical systems running within MSIM, it is essential that our team is properly/sufficiently stuffed across all regions to support an enormous volume of the requests coming from our users.

What you'll do in the role:
As a Vice President technical hands-on leader, You will be working on the full application lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment, by partnering with global IT and business stakeholders of the current and future platform to analyze requirements, conduct business analysis, coming up with proposed designs for review by the wider team, implement and test the solution and finally provide training and support as part of the roll-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have in-depth understanding of the full software development life cycle. Deep familiarity with data & business analysis, along with modern software design & development concepts encompassing a range of languages & platforms.
- Work within an Agile team to ensure that all key technical requirements are identified, estimated, designed, implemented, and tested.
- Work on a collaborative cross-technology team where Java, APIs (services), PL/SQL interact with a range of business logic interfaces & systems.
- Own small to medium scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices, and supports issues during UAT/system rollout phases.
- Understands business needs and priorities and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
- Ensures/Overseas the Stability of our Platform in Asia Daytime
- Efficiently/Proactively coordinates/collaborates with the user community that operates out of Asia to ensure that all their evolving business use cases are addressed in a timely manner
- Conducts code reviews to ensure the highest quality of the code
- Able to personally step in a development and implementation of any new feature requested by the user community, to ensure the timely delivery
- Able to effectively collaborate/communicate with the stakeholders on the business side and ensure that their requests are properly translated to the technical requirements for proper implementation
- Managing, Leading, and Mentoring junior developers in Bangalore
What you'll bring to the role:
- Hands on experience with on Java 11 with Spring Cloud Microservices ecosystem (multi-threading, data structures, design patterns and OOP practices etc)
- Ability to Query Relational Databases like DB2, Sybase and Cloud data sources like snowflake
- Spring, REST Web Services with on XML/JSON based data
- Experience with DevOps tools and Git
- Test Driven development (TDD) and experience working in a disciplined development environment
- Exposure to Azure Cloud experience is a plus
- Prior Experience in Managing a team
- At least 6+ years of relevant experience to perform this role
