Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Vice President, Java / Scala Dev in Alpharetta, GA.
Architect, design, and deliver strategic software initiatives. Implement software application engineering methodologies, processes, and practices to business requirements. Participate in product design meetings and core reviews. Identify and mitigate risks including security and data privacy risks. Research new technology or development tools. Collaborate with business and technology partners to provide customized protection and testing of security controls.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $174000 and $190000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Senior Developer, or a related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Core Java; Java Restful API's; Gradle; Spring; Spring Boot; creating/consuming web services and data; Data queries in SQL; distributed architecture; ALM tools; Object-Oriented design and development; Agile development methodologies; and DevOps Integration.
