Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Vice President, Java Developer in Alpharetta, GA.
Architect, design and develop highly critical and complex software in the Banking Deposits space. Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders and business analysts to gather and document requirements. Participate in architecture and design discussions and reviews with all relevant stakeholders. develop, test, deploy and support complex applications that are needed by the Private Banking Group to benefit the clients. Develop robust testing strategies for banking applications to ensure quality of deliverables in the production environment. Participate and lead governance of architecture, quality and observability standards for the team. Develop innovative proposals and solutions that can help the business gain efficiency and reduce risk. Create effective risk management tools and processes to mitigate risk to the clients and the Firm. Perform performance tuning and develop enhancements to the applications to better manage scaling. Work with Agile Scrum Masters and team to develop software using the Agile methodology.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $191,000 and $191,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Senior Associate, Senior Developer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Java; J2EE; Functional Programming; Spring; Hibernate; Micro Services; Spring boot; SQL; Stored Procedures; Maven; Git; Design Patterns; DB2; Jira; JUnit; Mockito; and Cucumber.
Requires three (3) years of experience with: Angular; Sonar; Bit bucket; RESTful; MSSQL; Prometheus; Grafana; Jenkins; Kubernetes; Docker; Helm; Unix; and Shell Script.
Requires one (1) year of experience with: Java Script; SOAP; Tomcat; Concordian; and C++.
