We're seeking someone to join our Threat Hunt team to seek out attacks against the Morgan Stanley network, to engineer detection strategies, and to reduce risk to Morgan Stanley assets.

Cyber Security Engineering

This is Associate position that provides specialist cyber expertise and creates solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

What you'll do in the role:

> Serving as a point of contact for internal and external clients
> Onboarding internal and external users to the Cyber Data Platform.
> Working with internal SMEs on: (1) integrating new applications into MFA, (2) troubleshooting core services
> Working with other MS teams via ServiceNow and other channels to install hardware, request maintenance, troubleshoot network connectivity
> Troubleshooting issues on the hardware level, local network configuration, switch level, firewall or beyond.
> Leverage a lot of different technology in a very high paced team.
> Work as an SRE for the Platform Engineering team.

What you'll bring to the role:

> Ability to work with different technologies like Ansible, Python and OS deployment and Configuration.
> Strong experience with analytic techniques using primarily Open-Source tools and development.
> Experience with container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
> Hands on experience in working with Python, Nifi, Elasticsearch.
> Stay up to date on CVEs, OS patches, Kernels, software, etc.
> Deploy patches for BIOS, firmware, drivers, kernels, operating system, applications, databases, etc.

Qualifications/Criteria
> 3 to 8 Yrs years of experience working on platform engineering with a bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of professional training and experience.
> Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
> Experience of software development experience using Python, K8s, Elastic, NiFi and Kibana
> Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
> Strong understanding of DevOps principles and a passion for building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
> Ability to design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
> Proficient in using Git for version control, branching strategies and code reviews.
> Deep understanding server hardware, Linux operating system (Red hat/CentOS preferred) and networking.
> Experience and Troubleshooting issues on the hardware level, local network configuration, switch level, firewall or beyond
> Strong verbal and written communication skills
> Strong communicator who can participate in a team-oriented, fast-paced Agile environment and desires to continuous learning
> Ability to work in a team as individual contributor
