The role will reside within Firm Risk Management's Market Risk Department. The Market Risk Management Division (MRD) is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market risk exposures arising from EMEA business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.

The role sits within the Strategic Change & Data Strategy team and will report directly to the Global Head of Strategic Change & Data Strategy. The Data teams are located across multiple global locations including Budapest, Mumbai and New York and provide coverage for a suite of internal and regulatory deliverables. The role involves working with a variety of business units and control groups across the organization on the execution of Morgan Stanleys Data Strategy and requires both execution and analytical support.

What will you be doing?
• Own and drive the Global Data Strategy Program plan, ensuring it is fit for purpose and milestones are achieved.
• Identify and implement solutions for various work streams within the Data program and ensure the Program meets both internal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the relationship with teams across Risk and Technology to ensure delivery of cross-divisional projects as well as interface with any relevant regulatory bodies.
• Produce documentation and presentations, including Committee materials to effectively communicate key information to senior management and Regulators.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the team across multiple locations.

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of market risk experience (including market risk systems and infrastructure).
• Experience of working on data renovation/architecture (preferred).
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the motivation to develop new risk processes and frameworks.

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally.
• Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate, with experience in management by influence, facilitating and gaining consensus.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple high priority deliverables.
• Attention to detail, project management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

This role is based in 20 Bank Street, London.
