Position Overview

We are looking for career-minded professionals with global perspective to join the Mumbai based Integrated Marketing Services team as a Product Management Associate. As a member of the Product Management team, the Associate will support various teams throughout the organization by using data to provide competitive intelligence and market research on various topics for both the US retail and institutional market segments. Topics include but are not limited to analyzing mutual fund industry flows, product positioning within MSIM and versus the competition. Analysis is calculated on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis for strategies and funds across the MSIM's equity, fixed income and alternative platforms. Product Management Associates work with firm systems, databases and resources to source quantitative and qualitative data, complete drafts for review by investment strategy specialists. Members work in a fast paced, time sensitive and collaborative team environment.

The candidate should have experience in or knowledge of the US investment management industry, experience with retail such as Morningstar Direct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of professionals whose primary responsibilities are to effectively communicate product details, competitive advantages and industry trends to Senior Management, Portfolio Management and Distribution teams
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends (utilizing internal and external data/information resources) in order to help position products appropriately
  • Ownership of the creation and production of various standardized reports to support monthly/quarterly materials
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from New York and London on a timely basis
  • Contribute to ongoing quality and efficiency improvements
  • Review reporting requirements and set up customised reports for new and existing clients.
  • Broad understanding of ESG performance and rating

Key Skills
  • In depth knowledge Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good knowledge on Fixed Income Investment products and ETFs
  • The ability to work effectively in a thoughtful, collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills, being able to interface effectively with bright quantitative colleagues as well as non-technical audiences
  • Thrive in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Passion for aligning financial returns with societal impact
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Possess attention to detail within the larger context of a complex investment ecosystem
  • Ability to focus on small details while maintaining larger picture from and industry and positioning perspective
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver outstanding work products under tight deadlines

Positon Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an analytical role requiring advanced use of Excel
  • Experience with Morningstar Direct preferred
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and a sense of urgency
