As Director, Product Management Medical Imaging you will be responsible for enabling the clarity and execution of the roadmap for your assigned product or solution (SaaS platform, AI-based), driving growth through effective launch of new products, delivering pivotal endpoint results through proprietary technologies using AI and Automation. In this role you will also manage a small Product and UX-UI team in terms of their performance and capability. You will also contribute to financial planning, resource planning, strategic alignment activities and monitor and improve the overall team efficiency and performance.
Responsibility
Supporting Activities
Understand the market:
- Maintains knowledge of and becomes an expert in multiple market segments for a portfolio of products, provides insights back into the business to inform development and decision making.
- Understands market size, segments, market problems, value propositions, distinctive competence, competitors, buyer and user personas, sales processes, monetization strategy, and business plans for the product.
- Defines new opportunities in the context of fit to the entire portfolio of products.
- Is able to provide an analysis of the market, the product, its strategy, and its plans to senior executives, customers, buyers/prospects, industry thought leaders, market analysts, etc. detailing opportunity areas on which to capitalize, recommends approaches and where appropriate potential risks to be mitigated.
Define and manage the product roadmap:
- Translates research, validation, and understanding of the market and multiple products into a clear roadmap for the offering, grounded in incremental value added to the business.
- Facilitates prioritization for new product needs alongside other products in the portfolio.
- Explains the roadmap to senior executives, customers, prospects, industry thought leaders, analysts, etc. as appropriate.
Chair the cross-functional core team:
- Identifies and coordinates the participation of cross-functional leaders needed for steering the strategic direction of the offering.
- Leads through influence, rather than authority, to identify, analyze, and prioritize product initiatives.
- Gains cross-functional executive support for initiatives prior to executive and/or gate exit presentations.
Define Market Requirements:
- Captures the needs of existing or newly defined markets through buyer, user, and competitor-based research.
- Defines market requirements that represent Jobs To Be Done as well as associated challenges.
- Includes functional and non-functional market requirements that create alignment with cross-functional leaders and provides guidance to downstream stakeholders on critical business needs.
Develop business cases:
- Leads the core team and other contributors to develop business cases that support definitive decisions at gate exits.
- Uses market data to model the addressable market, describe the competitive landscape, outline strategic alignment, and define market share expectations.
- Presents business cases to the executive leadership team, analysts, and potential customer ROI to buyer executives.
Support launch readiness:
- Facilitates product adoption post-launch through effective limited commercial release planning, and general launch readiness.
- Leads collaborative teams that includes product marketing, commercial marketing, operations, and support to insure successful launch and early product adoption.
Manage the product lifecycle:
- Analyzes product adoption and market position by monitoring current market share, win-loss feedback, user feedback, support cost metrics, and technology shifts.
- Utilizes knowledge of market problems, competitive landscape, and organizational strategic vision to guide lifecycle planning, including end-of-life
Performance management :
- Provides leadership and management to a global team
- Determines and delegates management responsibilities.
- Sets performance objectives, coaching, supporting and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria and local legislations/policies.
- Initiates, develops and monitors effective performance management processes.
- Mentors and influences individuals in consideration of their career opportunities and contribution to the organisation.
- Proactively works to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts with
- Leads on formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure all people related KPI's and activities are consistently and fully achieved.

Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills):
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum) and/or other development methodologies.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools (e.g. Rally, Aha, etc.).
- Demonstrably ability to define and own a product vision and its roadmap.
- Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes that affect technology within the Life sciences domain.

Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- Solid proven experience in Medical Imaging product management, product marketing, strategic marketing, project management, or related roles.
- Experience in developing SaaS platforms for clinical trials using AI and automation, relevant to the Business Unit.
- Experience with and knowledge of the clinical trial market and related services, relevant to the Business Unit.
- Proven experience in line management, managing and coaching colleagues.
- Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.
- Experience of regulated environments.
- Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.
- Solid proven experience of working in and knowledge of medical imaging or clinical development in the life sciences industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
