Expected base pay rate set at $28.50 per hour. Position is not eligible for benefits. No relocation or housing support is available for those outside the area.

General Description
The Operations Intern is responsible for a variety of duties relating to institutional investment management operations processes; trade processing, reconciliation, dispute resolution, settlement monitoring. This role will provide support to the Operations Team's analysts and project owners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the trade processing workflow of futures, swaps, options, forwards, equities and fixed income transactions.
- Reconcile internal systems to broker data, monitor breaks and follow up with internal/external stakeholders.
- Monitor internal investment management system Open Workflow Tasks and assist in the resolution thereof.
- Completion of tasks and special projects as needed relating to a variety of internal projects and initiatives, e.g. TriOptima project, reconciliation project, post trade processing project, Markit Trade Manager project etc.
- Assist in developing/enhancing/testing written procedures for department responsibilities.
- Act as a liaison with other departments on Open Workflow Tasks and projects.
- Administrative duties, including organizing files, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, maintaining meeting notes.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Student progressing towards a degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Minimum two years of under-graduate work completed
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well with others
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Proficiency with personal computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
