We're seeking someone to join our team as a Operations Associate in ISG Aligned Operations and help provide Operational support to the Loan Origination Business in EMEA

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Product Support & Service ISG area.

What you'll do in the role:

The role will include closing and initial funding of deals where Morgan Stanley acts as Arranger or Lender, review of Loan documentation, working closely with appropriate groups on the internal booking structure, ensuring accurate set up and booking of transactions in the firm's books and records, recognition of fee income as well as break management and resolution. The role includes a high degree of interaction with senior stakeholders within both Operations as well as Investment Banking/Capital Markets, Legal and Finance.

The role responsibilities also include ensuring that desktop procedures, including workflow diagrams and checklists, are kept up to date and maintained appropriately. A focus on identifying actionable ideas to improve efficiency and/or deliver a measured improvement and track the idea through to delivery and to actively participate and assist with the delivery of ad hoc projects.

What you'll bring to the role:
• Proven Operations experience in a financial services institute.
• Quick learner with a risk and control focus.
• Loan IQ experience preferable/ strong background with Loan systems, although wider Operations experience will be considered
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable working with all management levels and interacting with a global workforce.
• Team player, collaborative.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organization skills, ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Ability to drive change and improve daily processes in the workplace delivering both capacity and controls.
• Self-motivated and willing to assume extended responsibility.
• Assumes ownership of problems and drives towards their resolution.
• Displays high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately.
