Risk Management protects the firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties. The Risk Management Division is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market, credit and operational risk exposures arising from the Firm's business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.

You will:

  • Produce and coordinate quarterly requlatory reporting and special collections with hard deadline

  • Deliver high quality management information to support senior stakeholders across the Firm in discussions and in the decision-making process

  • Automate data collection processes

  • Conduct analysis on large data sets, processes and technology systems

  • Balance between regular and development / ad-hoc related tasks

  • Participate in executing data standards, data architecture, data processes and requirements for the Market Risk Department and the Risk Management Division

  • Interface and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within the wider Risk Management Division, the Technology Division and the Front Office

You ideally have:

  • University or College degree in any data related field, statistics or business management

  • Good understanding of financial markets, risk management concepts and models and financial products

  • Ability to work independently, proactively and taking ownership

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking

  • Strong risk and control mindset

  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills will be key in balancing daily deadlines with timely implementation of strategic projects

  • Proficient in written and verbal communication (in English)

  • Strong familiarity with handling and analyzing large datasets is favorable on at least one platform such as Excel, MatLab, R, Python, VBA or SQL

You might also have:

  • Good understanding of Agile Principles

  • Experience in UAT and in product development support

Team Profile: The Market Risk Schedule F team is part of the Market Risk Department (a risk stripe within the Risk Management Division), leading the effort in producing the FR Y-14Q Schedule F regulatory report quarterly. The team is doing data management, building calculation logic, doing analysis and running controls for the Schedule F report before submission to the FRB (Federal Reserve Board). The candidate selected for the role will need to balance technical skills, business knowledge, process management and people skills and should work closely with stakeholders in New York.
