Risk Management protects the firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties. The Risk Management Division is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market, credit and operational risk exposures arising from the Firm's business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.

You will:
- Participate in data management for the benefit of market risk business processes
- Ensure consistent, transparent and easy-to-maintain data consumption across market risk processes and downstream
- Participate in various data-related strategic programs targeting BCBS 239 implementation across the Firm (e.g. Risk Reporting, Data Lineage, elimination of manual processes, etc.)
- Execute recurring data quality controls and help market risk managers dig deeper in control results
- Raise, investigate and help stakeholders resolve identified data quality issues
You ideally have:
- University or College degree in any data related field, statistics or business management
- Basic understanding of financial markets, risk management concepts and models and financial products
- Strong data manipulation, automation and vizualization skills:
- SQL (e.g. case-when statements, subqueries, joins, etc.)
- Excel (e.g. VBA, vlookup, index-match, Pivot tables, etc.)
- PowerBI dashboarding
- Ability to work independently, proactively and taking ownership
- Strong strategic and critical thinking
- Strong risk and control mindset
- Curiosity to understand and motivation to improve data processes
- Attention to detail and prioritization skills will be key in balancing daily deadlines with timely implementation of strategic projects
- Proficient in written and verbal communication (in English)
You might also have:
- Good understanding of Agile Principles
- Experience in UAT and in product development support
Team Profile: The Market Risk Data Management team is part of the Market Risk Department (a risk stripe within the Risk Management division), leading the effort in setting up and maintaining curated data marts for market risk business processes and controls. The team is to ensure consistent, transparent and easy-to-maintain data consumption across market risk processes and downstream.
