Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology in the UK offers a challenging opportunity to be part of a highly specialized IT team supporting Business Users from Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), including, but not limited to, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Quantitative Analysts, and Operations Teams. The Solutions team is a client focused IT team responsible for delivering core business processes covering portfolio construction, order generation, order management, and the full lifecycle of a trade. This role requires an individual with strong business and technical knowledge to support Front Office applications and electronic trading applications as well as deliver on critical business driven projects and initiatives. A solid understanding of financial instruments, portfolio construction and trade lifecycle is essential to the role. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (IMIT) Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.

This is a Technical Program Management position associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for overseeing and leading the execution of multiple projects and/or programs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Includes program management and related project support roles.

What you'll do in the role:
- Strong communication skills needed to act as primary point of contact between Front Office Business Users and other stakeholders
- Must be team oriented and work well within a global team
- Must be self-sufficient, be accountable and act like an owner of IT related issues handled by the team
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Responsible for managing incidents at all levels, troubleshooting and change management related activities
- Solid experience working with relational databases
- General understanding and ability to write scripts in Shell and Pytho
- Understanding of Fixed Income and their various instruments, assets, and trade lifecycles
- Batch job scheduling tools like Autosys and CA Workload Automation
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and care
- Lead the planning and execution of complex technical projects.
- Coordinate and manage project activities, resources, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and update management tools.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working directly with Aladdin and third-party vendor platforms.
- Experience working on reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Exposure to agile methodology
- Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments with a focus on Fixed Income

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software development processes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
