About Private Markets Distribution

The Private Markets Distribution (PMD) team is responsible for leading and driving all capital raising activities for the Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) platform. The team works closely with the investment teams, the global sales teams, and marketing to plan and execute private capital raises.

PMD is seeking a thoughtful, results-oriented, and collaborative professional to support our fundraising efforts.

Highlights & Key Responsibilities:

The PC&E Distribution Management team is seeking a thoughtful, articulate, results-oriented, and collaborative associate who has the ability to manage multiple tasks from start to finish, including:
  • Develop client engagement content to facilitate both on and off-cycle Sales efforts across all PC&E strategies
  • Working directly with senior and junior members of the PMD team to assist in day-to-day tasks of managing various simultaneous fundraises
  • Creating presentation decks (internal and external), set-up of data room, completion of DDQs, diligence requests, and commitment data tracking
  • Tracking sales / marketing activities in the Salesforce system including detailed next steps on a per prospect basis
  • Leveraging alternative databases to run prospect searches and consolidate data / information, work with the findings to present in a comprehensive summary / report as appropriate
  • Provide regular updates to the respective sales teams on client activities, news, and searches related to PC&E fundraising efforts
  • Support Sales and Consultant Relations with prospect and client queries, due diligence requests, and roadshows
  • Maintain prospect lists for each private markets fundraising campaign
  • Management of marketing materials in close cooperation with Marketing, Compliance and Legal
  • Responsible for monitoring client engagement and capital raising reports across products

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in an institutional setting (private capital raising or private capital markets experience a plus)
  • Strong communication and relationship building-skills; team-oriented and collaborative
  • Ability to stay organized while staffed across various projects and fundraises, including multi-tasking and re-prioritizing on the fly
  • Motivated self-starter with "can-do" attitude and approach with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and computer skills; solid Excel skills required for extensive data analyses
  • Strong ability to multi-task, comfort working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other analytics programs a bonus, Salesforce experience a bonus
  • Series 7 and 63 Required, CAIA a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
