HR Business Partner (Vice President) - Institutional Equities Division

We're seeking someone to join our team as an HR Business Partner (Vice President) to provide generalist HR advisory expertise across EMEA Equities, reporting into the lead HRBP for EMEA Equities & Research.
In the Human Resources division, we provide advice and insight to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented global workforce, giving employees the support and tools, they need to succeed. This is a VP level position within the EMEA Sales, Trading and Research HR Business Partner team.
The Equities team supports approx. 560 employees. The team currently comprises of 3 HR Business Partners.
The role incumbent must be able to operate independently, pro-actively and effectively across the full range of HR disciplines and be able to work with managers and colleagues at all levels across EMEA Equities. This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the business as well as become involved in ad-hoc project work as required.

What you'll do in the role:
- Partner with Equities Group Heads and global HR counterparts to effectively implement Talent and D&I strategies.
- Manage and advise the business on the annual promotion roundtables, performance evaluation process and year-end compensation process.
- Advise and manage redundancy exercises as well as a wide range of employee relations issues independently, considering best practice, legislative framework and commercial outcomes. This includes liaising with in-house Legal Advisors and External Counsel where necessary.
- Engage HR Data Analytics to provide appropriate and timely management data and presenting this to the business as required.
- Partner with the Regulatory Remuneration team to advise the business on MRT identifications, SMCR and compensation implications.
- Proactively collaborating with the business, the Internal Recruitment team and Compensation team on recruitment activities.
What you'll bring in the role:
- At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- CIPD qualification preferred.
- A proven background within HR either within financial services or professional services; previous experience supporting Front Office/Revenue clients preferred.
- Broad understanding of the Regulatory Remuneration environment required.
- An ability to manage and develop relationships within matrix management structures.
- A strong team player with the ability to operate independently, pro-actively and collaborate effectively.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage expectations, influence and persuade clients and colleagues.
- Ability to multi-task, to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and to adapt to change.
- Rational and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong appreciation of employment related risks, with ability to identify and escalate.
