This wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley administers over $600 billion of hedge fund assets. Position Description
The Product Development Manager will be responsible for creating a strategic plan, long term vision and execution plan of the Private Equity systems. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the investor life cycle processing including investor activities, private investments, rebalancing, liquidations including waterfall calculations and rebalancing. This will involve gathering feedback from clients and internal stakeholders, perform competitor analysis, drive the strategic direction, define priorities, manage development plans, and define and manage client rollout strategies and plans.
• Bachelors or Masters degree with an in depth technical knowledge of processing and accounting of private investment activities
• 10 plus years of experience in private equity industry in product development or operations
• Ability to interact with clients at all levels
• Strong analytical skills including data analysis and data mapping
• Experience in working closely with development team to execute on the platform strategy.
• Team player with ability to work with global cross functional teams at all levels of the organization
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and ability to work under time constraints using time management and organization skills
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
