Background on the Position

The role will reside within Firm Risk Management's (FRM) Risk COO function. The Model Control Function team oversees the model inventory and end-user computing (EUC) tools for all FRM models globally, relevant policy, procedures and governance processes as it pertains to model risk controls and EUCs. This group is responsible for identifying, risk assessing and reducing the business critical EUC tools that are operating within Firm Risk Management. The EUC program is focused on population discovery and control remediation strategies: including facilitating transfer to IT, decommissioning unnecessary EUCs and Tools and monitoring controls over required EUC, and management of a vendor-based change management tool (ClusterSeven).

The ideal candidate possesses banking/financial services experience, and familiarity with concepts of risk assessment and mitigation through internal controls. The candidate should be well-versed with MS Excel, and proficient with data analysis and basic calculations within Excel framework. Experience with project management, business documentation, experience with interacting effectively with all levels of management would be an advantage.

Primary Responsibilities will include:
-Identify, document and assess business critical EUCs across Firm Risk Management, as well as work with the business areas to institute proper controls and remediation strategies
-Assist with the management ClusterSeven to assist with identifying and monitoring business critical EUC tools
-Assist with the delivery of the EUC program in connection with larger risk reduction efforts such as the transition to technology environments
-Assist with project oversight, including deliverables, milestones, risks and issues, and resource plans
-Assist with the preparation of presentations to program sponsors, senior management and regulators
-Design and track metrics, and coordinate reporting to project working groups, steering committees, senior management and regulators
-Work with FRM IT team to understand the new CitDev platform and help teams to migrate the EUCs to the new platform
-Identify efficiency and effectiveness opportunities in the process and suggest enhancements

Skills Required (essential):
-Ability to work independently and problem solve
-Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
-Ability to work effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines
-Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders
-Strong relationship building skills
-Self-motivator and team player who brings a ""can-do"" approach

Skills Desired:
-Experience in risk and control environment (Operational Risk), including control design and testing
-Working knowledge of ClusterSeven
