Background of the Team
Since 2007 Morgan Stanley has been expanding its fully owned premier investment banking and sales & trading platform in India, providing a full range of investment banking, sales & trading, equity, fixed income, Commodities and derivative products, as well as research services. Building on this existing platform in India, we are looking to invest in establishing a Derivative Operations division that will continue to recognize and match the global needs of our clients.
Morgan Stanley transacts Cross product Exotic and structured Derivative trades/contracts globally, with trading locations in Europe, North America and Asia. The Mumbai Trade Capture (TCR) team supports trades originated by all 3 regions.
The primary responsibilities of the TCR Team is to ensure all Exotic Trade terms are reconciled between the risk systems, Trade confirmations/Pricing Supplements and ensure the correct variables are captured accurately in risk models.
A successful applicant will lead a team of Subject matter experts and will be part of the ISG Equity Trading Operations within the Operations Division of Morgan Stanley.
Primary Responsibility
The primary function within the TCR team is the completion of daily tasks, including (but not limited to) Performing review of Structured Notes and Exotic Derivative products. The review involves verifying and reconciling trade economics between risk systems, confirmations/pricing supplements and booking models. Currently the tasks performed are manual in nature and requires a workflow driven approach. Skills Required
- Previous experience of trade support/Middle Office/Trade Confirmation roles with exposure to trade life cycles, process flows and reconciliation with proven track record in managing and developing control functions.
- Good understanding of Derivative Instruments is preferable although training will be given and is on-going. Knowledge of Exotic derivatives will be preferred.
- Exposure and understanding of Derivative Products, preferably exotic / structured derivatives (Commodities / Equities / Rates / FX / Credit)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills with ability to tailor message to audience or varying levels
- Ability to work independently with strong sense of accountability/ownership.
- Delegate effectively and manage delivery of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
- Experience with process reengineering, and projects aimed at technology renovation or daily process improvement.
- Demonstrates awareness of Control and Risk requirements through proven track record.
- Demonstrates willingness to take ownership for role responsibilities.
- Highly committed and self-motivated.
- High regard for attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
Experience Required
- Minimum of 15+ year Banking Operations experience
- 7+ years experience in a leadership role for Trade review/Drafting/DCP process.
- Minimum Bachelor or Masters Degree

Coverage for Audit Jobs
• Monday to Friday from 12:00PM to 9:00PM India time with flexibility on standard working hours for time sensitive matters.
