In this role as EMEA Ground Transportation and Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for both the Ground Transportation program, including the Online Booking Tool and the Hotel Program in EMEA, including daily vendor management and issue resolution, as well as regional and global strategy and initiative facilitation.

The candidate will be based in Budapest, Hungary, and will report to the EMEA Travel Manager.

In partnership with global colleagues, the EMEA Ground Transportation and Hotel Manager will work closely with the Sourcing and Commodity Managers to achieve the best outcomes from negotiations with hotels, and ground transport providers. In addition, there will be continued focus on achieving operating efficiencies and meeting internal KPI's.

This is a Director level position within Travel Management, which specializes in the Firm's travel management activities. We may work with outside travel-related companies and agents, such as airlines, hotels, travel agents, and car rental agencies.

The Morgan Stanley Travel Management organization provides reliable, consistent, world-class global travel & expense services that balance the needs of the business units with the requirements of the Firm in the most efficient, customer-focused, cost-effective manner. The team manages and negotiates Corporate Aviation, Airlines, Hotels, Ground Transport, Travel Agency, Corporate Card and on-line booking services for the Firm regionally & globally. They also track travelers around the globe, to offer support during any events such as weather, strikes, security incidents, etc. This team is responsible for primarily assisting the Banking business units to deliver high quality product to their external clients.
The team is constantly evolving and adapting in new ways. Future plans include integration with Expense Services which will enhance the offerings to clients and realize new synergies for an enhanced travel & expense experience.

What you'll do in the role:
-Delivery of high-quality travel services within the EMEA region with focus on leading the EMEA Ground Transportation Program and EMEA Hotel Program
-Manage all day to day operational, vendor management and client service-related issues within the areas of responsibility, including but not limited to Ground Transportation and Hotels.
-Engage and consult with business units, ensuring they are informed about cost-effective opportunities with Ground Transport, Hotel services and managing business expense costs.
-Ensure delivery of metrics / management information on EMEA Hotel RFP's, travel and business services to measure performance (annualized KPI's) as well as responsible for vendor SLA's/KPI's
-Prepare monthly analytic reviews related to Ground Transportation spend, especially for Business Units and Cross-Divisional Stakeholders
-Complete ad-hoc reporting as it relates to internal strategy projects (creating specialized dashboards, identifying trends, and providing insights and suggestions based on data analysis to improve compliance, cost controls and Firm objectives. Specifically:
-Generate and analyze reports to identify trends and areas of concern
-Provide regular reports to management on trends and compliance issues
-Offer insights and recommendations based on data analysis

What you'll bring to the role:
-Able to demonstrate knowledge of corporate travel and/or previous experience in a travel related role. 5+ years of Ground Transport and Hotel Vendor Management experience preferred.
-Managing internal and external professional business relationships
-Language skills: Fluent in English Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
-Computer Literacy (Software Applications / Mainframe): Microsoft applications and a functional understanding of travel global distribution systems
-Ability to work independently and under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously
