ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP, Social Media Content, this role is responsible for maintaining the firm's social presence on all Morgan Stanley channels in a consistent manner that aligns with our brand voice. From crafting content that drives engagement and growth with new followers to advising stakeholders on best practices and a social-first voice, the right candidate has a passion for reaching target audiences with a thoughtful and innovative approach.
This is a visible role on the Brand PR and Social Media team that will put you in front of stakeholders at all levels across the firm. As such, it requires someone who has experience working collaboratively with peers and skillfully communicating the general and platform-specific editorial guidelines and best practices for social engagement. It also necessitates an eye toward mitigating risk and ability to carefully navigate the ever-changing landscape to protect the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES
> Craft social posts for all brand channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook that express the firm's unique voice and engage existing and new audiences.
> Closely collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to craft social-first content that includes impactful visuals and videos.
> Contribute to the maintenance of a shared social calendar that clearly defines content, cadence and channel of upcoming posts.
> Collaborate closely with VP, Social Media Content and brand team to evolve our social media templates and create one consistent identity for content that is unmistakably Morgan Stanley with representation for sub-brands (Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Eaton Vance etc).
> Partner with the broader social media team to closely monitor performance metrics and adapt approach accordingly.
> Manage relationships across legal and compliance to coordinate the approval process for each post.
> Champion a test and learn environment and lead the exploration of new social media platforms.
> Participate in the firm's Social Council as a means to share content roadmap and learnings with team's from across the firm.
> Stay abreast of cultural and market trends that can inform platform or content strategy in real time and longer term.
> Maintain close relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience crafting social content for an international brand - preferably within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
This will be a proactive, motivated team member with excellent written and oral communication skills who has a passion for creative story-telling and the ability to position Morgan Stanley effectively for the next-gen consumer. A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work across multiple projects simultaneously is instrumental.
Additional qualifications include:
> Subject matter expertise on best practices across social media platforms and an interest in emerging trends and platforms.
> Proficiency with Canva, Sprinklr, Netbase and creating captivating content specifically for social.
> Proven results building social following, engagement, and business impact.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $145,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
