We're seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Direct, Workplace, and Tax Operations role in Operations Department. This Role in Morgan Stanley Direct, Workplace, and Tax Operations (DWTO) organization supports millions of Morgan Stanley institutional and Wealth Management clients. Functions within DWTO include Tax Operations, Morgan Stanley at Work (Stock Plan), and Digital Direct (DD) Operations teams (CTB, Middle Office & Correspondence).

Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets.

What you will do in the role

The Morgan Stanley at Work Vice President will oversee a team of associates supporting the MS at Work stock plan business regionally located in North America. Candidate will manage multiple teams that provide support to various operation processes across the business and is expected to interface with Operations owners in North America, Risk and Control partners, Business partners, and Technology partners. Qualified applicants will serve as an on-site manager to a large team of supervisors and associates responsible for brokerage support operational functions, while also focusing on developing talent and identifying process improvement opportunities to help the overall team thrive.
  • Define optimal team structure to effectively identify talent, onboard, train & support onshore teams while maintaining high productivity.
  • Produce, compile, and distribute production reports with KPI's and KRI's on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet strict SLAs for teams under purview.
  • Continually seek ways to improve processes, policies & product offerings while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Manage ad-hoc requirements for MS at Work Business by applying knowledge of Workflow production, capacity, and performance of the business.
  • Identify potential automation improvement opportunities & support firm initiatives on efficiency.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with Agile & SDLC Project Management
  • Build network of relationships both within and outside division to secure resources and support operations by adapting to evolving business needs
  • Collaborate & interact with stakeholders in all various settings - as an officer, represent the organization in positive & professional manner.
  • Lead leaders of teams and develop talented individuals for future growth opportunities by helping them navigate the organization and enriching their experience.

What you will bring to the Role
  • Thorough understanding of US financial products, trading rules and regulatory landscape specifically, equity trading and back-office brokerage operations
  • Career experience of 12+ years & A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a people manager, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information/ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent is required or minimum of 8 years of consistent supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Additional experience in PowerBI, VBA, Tableau and SQL are beneficial.
