The range of relevant work history includes practical work experience in an analytical role within a research or business development team in a corporate or relevant sector analysis experience from an accounting, consulting, investment banking or investment management background.

About the Role

The Business Development Associate in Research participates in the division's overall business development and plays a key role in supporting the operational and strategic initiatives under the divisional COO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Support

Assisting with day-to-day management tasks, such as streamlining internal processes, managing resources, and coordinating between departments to ensure smooth operations.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting

Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide insights that support decision-making. This could involve tracking KPIs, preparing charts and diagrams, and drafting presentations.

3. Project Management

Helping manage and execute specific projects initiated by the divisional COO, such as external survey campaigns, marketing process improvement initiatives, recruiting, talent development, conferences, or cultural events.

4. Stakeholder Communication

Acting as a liaison between the divisional COO and Research internal colleagues or external stakeholders in other business units, such as Equity, Technology, Legal & Compliance, Human Resources or Corporate Services, to ensure clear communication and alignment on objectives.

5. Strategic Planning

Supporting the development of business strategies by conducting quantitative analysis over managerial data, market research, and competitor analysis.

6. Ad-hoc Tasks

Handling miscellaneous tasks that require immediate attention, such as data request from senior management, client event organization for timely topic in the market, drafting memos from internal and external meeting, data inputs, or organizing meetings.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. A person with a background in consulting firms, an MBA, or experience in business planning overseas is well-suited for this role.
