The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Corporate Credit, Munis and Commodities Products. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
About the Team
The NY FID COO Team is looking for Senior Associate and Manager level candidates to join the FID Management team. The Team is focused on monitoring the performance of FID via data analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Support strategic decision making by preparing and optimizing reports pertaining to revenue and other business performance metrics for senior management
- Analysing revenue, expenses and headcount on regular and ad-hoc basis
- Creating meaningful business performance deep dive presentations for senior management
- Working closely with IT developers on report production and enhancements
- Partnering with divisional leadership, COO, IT, Risk, HR and Controllers to develop and maintain front and backend data for management reporting tool
- Identifying areas of business and operational inefficiency and proactively implementing improvements
- Assist in driving business planning/strategy, budgeting and executing on key priorities
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in a quantitative/finance degree (e.g. Finance, Economics and Engineering)
- Professional experience in a relevant Financial Services discipline (e.g. Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Controller or Financial Modelling) or Management Consulting
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- Background in financial business performance and planning (revenue, capital, expenses, etc.)
- Strong quantitative skills and an ability to think analytically
- Project management skills
- Ability to quickly grasp key concepts and take ownership of deliverables
- Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility with multiple priorities working in a team setting
- Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to provide information in comprehensible formats
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
- Proactive and results oriented mindset
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate leadership capabilities
